Hotel Bencoolen at Hong Kong Street

My executive double room was decent size and bed was comfortable, overall i was happy with the hotel. Great location near Clarke & Boat Quay and walking distance to Chinatown markets, Telok Ayer st, Chinatown Point shopping mall and Merlion Park and City Hall area across the river. Clarke Quay MRT station only couple mins walk away (entrance at Hong Lim Park) and Raffles Place MRT station (Chulia st entrance) a few more mins away in the other direction so you have several MRT lines to choose from which made traveling around Singapore so very easy and convenient. The female staff was very helpful and friendly. The small rooftop Jacuzzi is great to relax in after a day of walking around in the heat. It was great spot to go for morning walks around the river front and other places like Fort Canning Park and Merlion at the Marina bay,

For its price point, this hotel offered great value. Clean comfortable compact rooms in a very central location. We could walk to Raffles, Clarke Quay, Fort Canning hill and a lot,of the points of interest along the river. The complimentary breakfast was simple but more than adequate. Small rooftop pool and spa were fine for cooling off and staff were unfailingly helpful. Would definitely go back if I returned to Singapore

We had a wonderful stay. Excellent staff: Russell at the front desk was very helpful and gave great suggestions. The service was great and we were looked after very well and had a very comfortable stay. Our request for early check in was graciously granted and luggage held until the room was ready. The room was clean, small but sufficient. The bed was comfortable and the overhead rain shower was fantastic. Just what we needed after a tiring and humid day out in Singapore. Breakfast was adequate. The location was ideal for us, in a fairly quiet side lane, walking distance to Chinatown and Clark & Boat Quays. There were restaurants and cafes near by. Compared to the prices we'd seen while booking, this was a great value for money option. There was a plunge pool and small open terrace garden, but we didn't use these.

The breakfast was included and enjoyable. The location was ideal as it was either an easy walk or a short cab ride to visit all the main attractions and major shopping centres. Our host , Vivienne was charming and most welcoming and helpful and genuinely concerned for our comfort at all times- she was wonderful and a great ambassador for the Hotel and Singapore. Thank you Vivienne for making our stay so enjoyable and memorable.

Stayed at the Loft apartments, they are 4 in total at this location. The room was new and clean, the hotel is built/renovated 5-6 years ago to a very high standard. Huge bathrooms downstairs and upstairs. Separate A/C for each floor. The jacuzzi is nice to relax after a busy day. The best location for Boat and Clarke Quay restaurants, bars and clubs. 4-5 minutes away from MRT and mall at Clarke Quay.
